Iran, Turkiye mull facilitating transfer of Iranian prisoners

Tehran, IRNA – Iran and Turkiye have examined the conditions for facilitating the transfer of Iranian prisoners to their country.

Askar Jalalian, Iran’s deputy justice minister for international affairs, who is in Turkiye at the head of a delegation to participate in a meeting on the transfer of prisoners, met with Enis Yavuz Yildirim, the head of the Turkiye’s Prisons and Detention Houses on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the improvement of the situation of Iranian prisoners in Turkish prisons as well as facilitating their transfer to the country.

The Iranian delegation also visited the electronic control and monitoring center of prisoners in Turkiye and the project on the Integration of Smart Technologies into Prisons.
