Iran, India FMs discuss bilateral issues over phone

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, in a phone conversation on Thursday, discussed issues of bilateral importance.

The two foreign ministers also reviewed the main agendas of the 15th BRICS Summit which is underway in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Amirabdollahian appreciated India’s support for Iran’s joining the bloc.

In today’s BRICS meeting, the Islamic Republic of Iran and five other countries – namely Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Argentina, and Ethiopia – officially joined the five-member bloc of emerging economies.
