TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran and Afghanistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at facilitating the supply of medicine, goods, and medical equipment.
The signing ceremony took place with the participation of representatives from the Iranian Health Ministry’s Food and Drug Administration and Afghanistan’s Food and Drug Authority.
According to the MoU, “The two neighboring Islamic countries of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Afghanistan are committed to comprehensive cooperation in food, medicine, and health products.”
It emphasizes the crucial importance of medicine and equipment supply, particularly in the treatment of chronic diseases.
Both Iran and Afghanistan share a determination to create favorable conditions for the expansion of production and supply of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment to meet the demands of both nations.
