Nassaji Must Live Up to High Expectations: Mehdi Rahmati

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Nassaji football team head coach Mehdi Rahmati said that they have to live up to the high expectations from now on.

Debutant Nassaji of Iran defeated Indian Mumbai City 2-0 Monday night in Group D of the 2023-24 AFC Champions League.

“Congratulations are in order for all Iranians, particularly the dedicated fans of Nassaji,” Rahmati said.

“Their unwavering support for the team, demonstrated both domestically and on the international stage, is truly commendable. Regardless of where Nassaji plays, they can always count on a loyal fanbase in every corner of the world,” he added.

“This is my second encounter participating in such a tournament. Moving forward, it is imperative that we put in significant efforts. We must strive diligently as expectations from us have now heightened compared to the past,” Rahmati concluded.
