Tehran, IRNA – An Iranian judicial delegation departed for Beijing on Monday to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Regional Assembly of Court Judges.
The event, hosted by the Supreme People’s Court of China, will see the participation of five high-ranking judges from Iran.
The assembly will focus on several key issues including judicial credibility, juvenile delinquency, computer crimes, commercial contracts, and ways to enhance judicial cooperation among SCO member countries.
Iran’s participation comes in the wake of its recent full-fledged membership approval during the 23rd virtual summit of the SCO hosted by India, which made Iran the ninth member of the SCO, joining China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.
