TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national football team defeated Kenya 2-1 here in a friendly match on Tuesday.
Michael Olunga put Kenya ahead in the 51st minute at the Azadi Stadium, but the host fought its way back with two late goals.
Mohammad Mohebi leveled the score in the 76th minute and Ramin Rezaeian made it 2-1 in the 84th minute.
It was Kenya’s first game since the ban imposed by FIFA in 2021 was lifted last year.
Iran was held to a 1-1 draw against Russia on March 23.
