TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Kioumars Hashemi is reportedly a candidate to replace Iran’s Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Hamid Sajadi.
Sajadi is reportedly on the verge of resigning after he suffered serious injuries in a helicopter crash in February.
Sajadi is going to step down from his role due to his physical health condition.
Kioumars Hashemi served as the president of the National Olympic Committee of Iran from 2014 to 2018.
Media reports suggest that he will replace Sajadi in the post.
